Hi Life Chapel Family,

Thank you to you all for the support that we’ve received as we work to adapt to our new environment. How the world has changed in just a week! But we believe in a good God, and that He can take any situation and turn it for good! The team at Life Chapel are working hard to ensure that social distancing doesn’t have to mean being disconnected from each other. Below are updates on some of the things that we’re currently working on.

  • Church services are moving online! Life Chapel is in a fortunate position where there are several options open to us that we’re currently exploring. Our aim is to make these services as interactive as possible as we continue to support each other through this time where we are physically apart. We’ll continue to keep everyone updated on what this looks like as we get closer to Sunday. 
  • Life groups will also change how they run, according to the new guidelines provided by the Government as of 24 March. Life groups will now run in different formats, online through video conferences or Whatsapp video calls etc. Please contact your life group leader for more information. If you are not currently in a life group please fill out a form via our website or Life Chapel app.
  • Kids packs are being put together by our team, containing materials for children and parents to learn about God during this time when they can’t attend Kids Church. If you don’t have the facilities to print this pack out, please let us know and we can drop a pack at your house by contacting hello@lifechapel.church . 
  • We would love to hear from you! If you or someone you know needs some extra support during this time, please contact hello@lifechapel.church . We would love to be able to support you through this time and meet you where you’re at, whether that be through a phone call, prayer, dropping off a meal or even a grocery run (we can’t promise toilet paper though!).

We know that this is an exciting new opportunity for our church, and this is only the beginning. Our team is continuing to work hard on more amazing ideas to support you such as video devotionals, that we’ll keep you updated on as we develop them. We are also currently putting structures in place to ensure that everyone is able to access the support and materials that we produce. Finally, we just want to take an opportunity to encourage you today with Matthew 22:37-40:

“’Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbour as yourself.’ All the Law and the Prophets hand on these two commandments.”

In a time when the world is turning inwards and focussing on themselves, let’s keep our focus on God but let us also not neglect our neighbours and those around us. We encourage you to reach out to someone and ask how they’re doing, pray with them, and have community with them. In this way we can not only lift our own spirits, but also Bring Faith to Life.
